Hope for Children Foundation
A volunteering campaign for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth & Middlesex Counties.
About This Campaign
BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF MONMOUTH & MIDDLESEX COUNTIES (BBBSMMC) is partnering with HOPE FOR CHILDREN FOUNDATION to raise funds and serve more children!
Recruit 30 new volunteer Bigs
Raise $60,000 to pair each of them with a child in need of a positive role model
BBBSMMC currently provides mentoring to over 700 children in Monmouth and Middlesex counties and their strategic vision for the next three years is to reach 1000 children with their services. To make this a reality there are two critical components- MENTORS AND MONEY. Hope for Children Foundation is stepping up by advocating for our agency, helping to recruit adult volunteers, and asking their network to support financially.
It costs BBBSMMC $2,000 to create each Big-Little friendship and to supervise their match for the first year. That is money well spent considering it costs close to $200,000 to incarcerate one young person for one year.
Campaign to Support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth & Middlesex Counties
Millions of children need a caring adult role model.
When children and teens have the influence of a caring adult, they are more likely to avoid risky behaviors and to focus on academics. Today's youth face a variety of challenges, and being matched with a Big Brother or Big Sister can help them navigate these challenges and reach their potential.
